Happy Holidays to you and your family!
As we close out this week and head into Christmas celebrations, I felt it was only appropriate to share some fun virtual and in-person activities to get in the Christmas spirit. As Conner mentioned in his weekly preview this week, take some much needed time to slow down and appreciate what you have. Soak in time with loved ones, whether near or far.
Our Leadership Team’s Top 10 Holiday Traditions for 2020 (bonus points if you can assign who suggested each one!):
- Gingerbread House Contest: We did this for our Leadership Team’s Virtual Holiday Party last week and it was wildly entertaining. DM Kara if you want custom, homemade kits — apparently she’s a pro that we didn’t even know! Our Market Basket, Target, Walmart all sell them.
- Go for a Christmas Light Drive to Norton Lights: Drive up anytime (ahem, tonight is beautiful with a fresh dusting of snow!
- Walk the Winter Wonders at Sandy Hill Farm.
- Pre-make homemade Cinnamon Rolls for Christmas morning (or buy a popping Pillsbury can and throw those babies in the oven):
- Challenge your family members with a virtual game night: Monopoly, Catan on the iPad, or even write your own Trivia game!
- Scratch tickets!! Everyone brings a bunch of scratchies ($1/2/5/10 anything): Put them into a stocking and every 30 min/hour, have everyone pick one and scratch it.
- Create a Powerpoint of 2020 and take ten minutes each to share on Zoom.
- Cover pretzels in chocolate, sprinkles or any other melt to disperse to neighbors and friends!
- Cut & decorate Holiday cookies!
- Write a new one for 2020! It’s been a weird year, so maybe this is the year you create something special and new!
No matter what you decide to do, please enjoy the season. We’re so grateful to have you. Cheers to 2021!
